When Modvion built the world’s tallest wooden wind turbine tower in Skara, Sweden, they faced a challenge: How do you protect a 105-metre wooden structure from the harsh Scandinavian weather?

As specialists in custom-engineered tarp solutions, we were brought in to design and deliver a tailor-made top cover for the tower. While the cover itself may seem simple at first glance, developing a solution that could withstand wind, rain and extreme weather conditions – all while fitting precisely to the shape and material characteristics of the wooden tower – required engineering precision and deep material expertise.

This gave us full control over quality and allowed us to react quickly throughout the process.
