Installation of cover
Generic mounting instruction
This is a generic instruction for installing covers.
For specific product instructions, please check with your local supervisor or manager.
Step 1
Unfold the cover and place the top (TC Mark (Top Center)) in the cherry picker basket.
The inside of the cover should face the tower flange.
Use the cherry picker or similar to start the installation from the top of the tower section.
Step 2
Start from the center on top, place the TC Mark with the tower's center (12-o-clock), and align the cover's edge with the tower's edge. Magnets can be used to fix the cover temporarily. Be careful.
Step 3 (If the cover has cross straps)
Install the cross straps through the opposite flange hole, forming an X.
Tighten all the ratchets as much as possible
Step 4
Continue to install magnets down the sides and ensure the stitch line matches the edge of the flange.
Step 5
Tighten the perimeter band before inserting it into the ratchets. Tighten all ratchets as much as possible.
Step 6
Remove any magnets or other aids used for installation.
Thread the cross straps through the opposite flange hole, forming an X.
Tighten all the ratchets as much as possible. Don’t cut the tarp.
Do not use any sharp edges, knives, or similar. The cover is designed to be mounted/installed without cutting.
Using a Ratchet
- Open the ratchet all the way using the release catch
- Thread the strap through the middle of the mandrel
- Flip the end of the strap and pull it over the top of the mandrel
- Continue feeding the strap through the mandrel until the strap is tight
- Crank the ratchet to tighten the strap until you are not able to tighten it anymore
- Lock the strap securely in the folded (closed) position
Re-tension a Ratchet
It is recommended that the ratchet is checked and re-tensioned after 48 hours
Close openings
Remember to close all openings on the cover.
Document pockets
If the cover is fitted with document pockets, please check the following
Design with an opening from the top:
- Check that the documents are firmly placed in the pocket
- Ensure the flap is covering the pocket opening
Design with an opening from the bottom:
- Check that the documents are firmly placed in the pocket.
- Ensure the flap is closed inwards and the documents are resting on the folded closing
- Press the Velcro together to ensure it is properly fastened
Zipper
Remember to close all zippers after use, all the way.
Pull only in the direction of the zipper
Velcro
Press the two Velcro sides together for a firm connection
Handling
The cover can be damaged by improper handling.
- Do not walk on the cover.
- Do not drag the cover over rough terrain.

Reuse
Check the cover and components after each use for scratches, marks, holes, etc.
If there is no visible damage, the cover can be reused.
If damaged, a return loop with Hans Aa can be arranged.

Recycle
PP covers can be recycled.

Cleaning of cover
Remove coarse dirt with a broom or brush and water, using a general cleaning detergent. (If a special cleaning agent must be used, Kindly reach out to Hans Aa for support.)
A return loop is recommended and can be arranged with Hans Aa.
Do not clean the tarpaulin cover with a jet of water!
