Hans Aa has designed and manufactured lifting bags for demanding applications for decades.
That experience is already built into a proven range of lifting bags used across wind, offshore and industrial operations. Our engineers have now refined every detail of the design and construction, making the lifting bags even stronger and more robust while adding smarter technical features.
The standard range covers Working Load Limits from 300 to 1,200 kg and includes different dimensions for lifting tools, equipment and components. Each model is developed around a defined load and combines heavy-duty materials, high-strenght webbing and reinforced load-bearing construction.
For lifting requirements outside the standard range, we can customize dimensions, materials and functional details to match the specific load, lifting method and operating environment.
Every lifting bag will be supplied with a full documentation package and individual traceability. We also offer inspection, re-certification and repair assessment to support safe continued use throughout the service life of the lifting bag.
With engineering, rapid prototyping and testing in Denmark and our own manufacturing facilities in Poland and China, Hans Aa can manage the complete process from initial requirements and approval samples to documented serial production at scale.
300–1,200 kg standard WLL range
Our standard range includes lifting bags with Working Load Limits from 300–1,200 kg, covering a wide variety of lifting requirements.
The range extends from compact lifting bags for tools and smaller components to larger solutions for handling equipment and materials.
Higher capacities are available upon request, depending on the load, lifting method and application.
The flexible construction also allows the lifting bags to be flat-packed, reducing the space required during transport and storage.
Testing, documentation and traceability
Each lifting bag is developed around clearly defined requirements for capacity, application, operating environment and documentation.
Applicable standards and design references include:

– DS/EN 1492-1 + A1
– DS/EN ISO 21898:2024
The lifting bags are tested with a safety factor of 8 x WLL.

– Risk assessment

– Traceability documentation
– Test documentation
Custom engineering and scalable serial production
Our standard models cover a wide range of lifting operations. When an application requires different dimensions, materials or functional details, our engineers can develop a lifting bag around the specific requirements.
For new designs, we can produce prototypes and approval samples in Denmark. This makes it possible to evaluate the construction, functionality and handling before the lifting bag is approved for serial production.
Once the design has been approved, production can be scaled at our own manufacturing facilities in Poland (25,000 m²) and China (15,000 m²).
This gives Hans Aa the flexibility to manufacture smaller production runs as well as recurring high-volume orders while maintaining control of the product from the first design to every serial delivery.
Inspection and support throughout the service life
Safe continued use requires regular inspection and clear documentation of the lifting bag's condition.
Hans Aa can support the lifting bag throughout its service life with:
– Annual inspections
– Recertification
– Repair assessment
– Lifetime management
– Inspection records and traceability
Each lifting bag is assessed individually. Following the inspection, its condition is documented, and we determine whether the bag can remain in service, requires repair or should be retired.
Where applicable, the lifting bag can be recertified, and its inspection and traceability records are updated accordingly.
